Buick is one of the oldest automobile brands in the world. The Buick Motor Company was founded in 1903 by David Dunbar Buick and was later sold to William Durant who later founded General Motors. The first of Buick cars for sale was Model B which appeared in 1904. In 1909 Model F was introduced. Thanks to Durant skillful management, Buick soon became the largest car manufacturer in the U.S. When he created the corporation of General Motors, he decided that Buick brand was to be used for the company’s luxury cars and this hasn’t changed till now – only Cadillac is more expensive and prestigious in the GM family.
Buick is known for many innovations – for example in 1911 the company launched first car with closed body and in 1920s a system of four-wheel brakes. Till 1970s Buick produced large vehicles, but later on the oil crisis forced the manufacturer to in traduce some smaller and more fuel-efficient cars. In 1980s and 1990s the brand faced strong competition of German and Japanese cars and the sales figures fell. Fortunately, even when the 2009 crisis led General Motors to bankruptcy, the brand was not eliminated.
The main advantages of Buick cars for sale are comfort and safety. Currently they are sold in dealerships in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Kuwait, Qatar, Taiwan, China and Israel. The now available models of Buick cars for sale include: Regal (entry-level luxury/sports sedan), LaCrosse (mid-size luxury sedan), Lucerne (full-size luxury sedan), and Enclave (full-size luxury crossover).
