Imagine lilies gently floating across a pond, or the soothing sound of water cascading down rocks and stones; these are the sights and sounds that can be incorporated into our gardens to make them places of even greater wonder. There is more to gardens than grass, plants, and flowers, as water brings an entirely new element into the mix, which can be either a feeling of calm or one of excitement.
The garden pond
A garden pond is a tranquil addition to your garden, especially if you have the space to put a bench next to it. There are many positive reasons to have a pond in your garden; for example, they can encourage wildlife to visit and make their home there. However, you must be prepared to clean your pond on occasion to keep it looking its best; and for extra peace of mind it can also be covered with garden insurance.
The swimming pool
If water won’t bring you serenity in your garden, refocus your garden decoration plan to include a swimming pool. This way you can enjoy many fun times in your garden with your family and friends, and it is also especially good in the summer months when you need an easy way to cool down. The prices of swimming pools vary and require a certain amount of space, depending on whether one is built into the ground or on top of it.
The waterfall
The sound of water can be incredibly peaceful, and you can achieve this by making a miniature waterfall in your garden. Usually this type of water feature involves water tumbling down an assortment of stones and rocks, before being drawn back up and over the top.
The fountain
A fountain is an ideal choice if you do not have a large garden, as they come in a range of sizes and styles. Fountains can be tailored to your own interests, as they sometimes follow certain themes including animals and flowers. But if a fountain still seems too costly or too much work to maintain, you could always get a stationary birdbath to watch the birds playing from the window as you do the dishes.
