Infinity – Luxury Cars from Nissan

Infiniti is the luxury car division of Nissan Motors. The brand was introduced in 1989 in North America, but the vehicles are now sold also in the Middle East, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, China and Ukraine among others. The first Infiniti car was Q45, a full-size luxury sedan produced till 2006.

Current models

All current Infiniti cars for sale, except for QX56, are based on the Nissan FM platform where the center of the engine is placed behind the front wheels.
The now available models include:
• Infiniti G37 (offered as: convertible, coupe, sedan, AWD coupe, AWD sedan) – entry-level luxury cars. The series has won many industry awards and was appreciated by Cars.com, Car and Driver magazine, and AUTOMOBILE Magazine among others.
• Infiniti M (M37/M37x and M56/M56x variations) – mid-size sedans.
• Infiniti EX35 – compact crossover SUV, launched in 2008.
• Infiniti FX (FX35,FX37 and FX50 variations) – a range of mid-size SUVs produced since 2003.
• Infiniti QX56 is a full-size SUV, launched in 2004, redesigned in 2010.

When it comes to cars that are no longer produced, you can consider used G35, a predecessor of G37. It was manufactured between 2003 and 2008 in two versions: 4-door sedan and 2-door coupe. It was quite a popular model, appreciated both by customers and the industry. For example, it was chosen the Car of the Year by Motor Trend and nominated for the North American Car of the Year award in 2003.

As most car manufactures, Infiniti also wants to introduce some hybrid cars for sale to its offer. The first one will be a hybrid version of the M sedan that is expected on the American market in 2011. The company has also announced plans to introduce an electric vehicle. Currently works on zero-emissions concept car are in progress.
