First of all, make sure that the wooden shed that you want to use has a concrete floor or foundation. This will make the shed more secure. Then install some larger windows and even a skylight so that there will be generous amount of sunlight coming in through the windows. The large windows also allow you to look into the shed easily to check up on your children. Double doors will look great too and will provide a bigger opening to the playhouse.
The floors and the walls of the shed should be cleaned, and then can be painted into the color of your choice. For the floors it is more advisable for you to add a softer floor covering, like a rug. Now you can furnish it for your children to play in. Hang up a chalkboard on one all where they can draw. Add kids-sized furniture for them to play tea and have little teddy bear picnics. Have lots of seating options like chairs and beanbags and large cushions. Put in large containers, metal bins, or wooden crates for them to store their toys. Shelves would also be great for displaying books and board games.
